How long does the brush head last?

The head is designed to last a long time; some number of years. However, if your hygiene preferences are more stringent, you can replace the head cheaply whenever you choose.

Replacement heads will cost no more than a few dollars. But really, because this solution is so much more hygienic than a traditional toilet brush, you shouldn’t need to change them nearly as often, and if you do, you’ll only be throwing away 2grams of plastic, compared to over 100grams with the traditional toilet brush.

Are there different types of heads?

We are working on more than one type of head, but this is not within the scope of this campaign.

In the coming months, we are going to be developing a more abrasive head to de-limescale the toilet in areas with harder water, and a soap-based head to clean and freshen the toilet. Both of these newer heads will be totally interchangeable with the FlushBrush handle and cradle.

Will there be replacement heads for sale?

Yes, in our post campaign survey you will be able to add additional heads slightly above cost. Prices are being finalized, but for Kickstarter backers, we will sell them at a lower cost. In addition, backers will be able to specify preferred colours in the post campaign survey.

What colours are available?

We smashed through our first stretch goal very early on and unlocked a new colour, Dark Grey, in addition to the White shown in the video. Towards the end of the campaign, I will also send out a survey asking which colours are most in-demand, and if there is a highly requested third colour, we will make it happen.

How do I specify my shipping address?

At the end of the campaign, a link will be sent out to our Backerkit fulfilment survey. Please fill this out correctly and promptly, and we will be able to ship your FlushBrush as quickly as we can.

Will there be import duties to pay?

We are working closely with our shipping partners to be extremely specific about the correct shipping codes to ensure backers are not required to pay import duties. Obviously though, we cannot completely guarantee each of the thousands of shipments we make will be free from import duties.

How do I choose what colour I want?

In our post campaign survey, you will be able to choose between Dark Gray and White FlushBrush sets.

If there is enough demand for a third colour, you will also be able to specify that option.

Does the head clean under the rim?

Several backers have pointed out the slight design flaw with the current version; that the head will struggle to reach all the way underneath the rim of the toilet. This feedback has been noted and we are currently working to improve the design of the head to address this.

How can I order the wall stand?

By default, backers will be sent one handle storage option. The default option will be the floor stand, or the wall bracket if you make this specific selection. In our post campaign survey, you will be able to specify between them. If you want to order both options, there will be a small additional cost.

How can I buy 3, 4 or more than 5 units?

If you want to add units beyond the current pledge tiers, you will have the option to add them in our post campaign survey, at the Kickstarter prices. You will also be able to add multiple units of specific components, again at the same low prices. So if you want more heads, cradles, handles or stands, you will have that option.

Can you make a premium metal or wooden handle?

Premium options are being worked on, but will not be available during this campaign. We are working on a chrome and a wooden handle, to be available for sale on our website in due course - we don’t want to promise too much and fail to deliver.

Can I order more cradles and heads to use in multiple toilets, while only having one handle and stand?

Yes. In fact, we would encourage this to cut down on consumption. The system is perfectly interchangeable, and you will have the option to buy each component individually.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
